123notary has been engaged in search engine optimization for several years. We have to keep a close eye on this, because google changes their algorithms over time. When we did our first major optimization push in 2008, we made sure that when you look up the term Washington Notary Public, you get the Washington state page, not the Washington D.C. page. Now, two years later, I'm looking back and finding that our Washington Notary page has been out run by D.C. Ugh! So, I'm going to link this blog post to our Washington State page in hopes that it will stop getting "jumped" by the D.C. page. Interesting points (1) A Washington notary may use one credible witness to identify a signer. That witness must be known to the notary as well as the signer. (2) For Washington Notary licensing information, please visit http://www.dol.wa.gov/business/notary/ (3) Find a notary or learn how to become a notary on our Washington notary page at http://www.123notary.com/washington_notary/
(4) Washington Notary seal information. A notary seal shall be one and five-eighths inches minimum in diameter. If a ntoary stamp is used, the following requirements shall apply: (a) The type shall be a minimum of 8 point type. (b) The stamp shall be a minimum of one and five-eighths inches in diameter. If a rectangular stamp is used, the minimum dimensions shall be one inch wide by one and five-eighth inches long. (c) The imprint shall be affixed with indelible ink only. (d) The face of any notary stamp shall contain permanently affixed letters and numerals and shall not be preprinted (e) The use of the Washington State seal on the notary stamp or seal is prohibited. (f) A vendor may not provide a notarial seal, or stamp, either inking or embossing to a person claiming to be a notary, unless the person presents a photo copy of the person's notary certificate. (g) A Washington notary applying for a seal or stamp as a result of a name change shall present a copy to the vendor of the certificate as evidence of the notary's name change from the director. FAQ Q. When did it become a requirement for a Washington Notary Public to get a bond? A. Its always been a requirement Q. Where do I get a bond? A.
