Our company, www.GeorgiaSigningAgents.com has been fortunate and blessed in a great many ways; however, I am concerned for my friends who are doing poorly.

I believe someone suggested diversifying into ancillary fields that will support the industry during times of crisis. We continue to build our national networks and express our availability to do more than just close loans.

Site inspections and communication with lenders to serve as the eyes and ears of lenders who own mortgages but who are not present in local markets seems a viable market for notaries everywhere. I would like to learn more about alternative careers, perhaps as foreclosure support roles, for notaries around the U.S. We are all in this together and we need to be supportive to others who work within the industry.

Your site recommendation was interesting! I've always agreed that the cream does rise to the top, and many people are leaving our industry that should have never been in it in the first place, leaving more work for those who are right for the job. It's true that there are less lenders but it's also true that there are strong lenders that remain who can lend money... but it's tight: Full doc and great credit, not allowing a ton of cash out and those who have 10 properties will have trouble finding a lender to buy #11. I'm seeing a lot with IndyMac and Downey.

Well, there's not a lot of cream left. Check this site out [url]ml-implode.com[url]. It's updated regularly with the company's that have imploded along with the ones that appear to be trying to stay at "the top".

What I believe to be really sad is that when there become fewer places to choose a mortgage, the borrower will suffer. I hope the cream you speak of doesn't take advantage of being the "top dog".

Remember the cream always rises to the top. That is true for certain mortgage companies as well as notaries public.
