Mary, I understand your frustration. Linda's comments are the usual experience that I have had.

Unfortunately, there is often too little loyalty in this business and you are at the mercy of the lenders except at the end of the month when even your enemies will often call you to assist with a closing as they are desperate for assistance.

As Linda advises, "go with the flow," and that is great advice, except when the water is going down the toilet.... Have fun and expect cancellations as part of a day's work....

Good luck with trying to collect for cancellations. All of us at one time or another have experienced the very same thing. Its just part of the business. I learned a long time ago to just go with the flow. I've learned that they get a notary ready, just in case the loan goes. If not, they cancel you. I've also learned to appreciate the ones that call in advance and tell you its cancelled. Some don't and leave you hanging at the last minute.
This tends to happen more at the EOM time.

I had a closing that had been postponed 5 times. I did cancel two other appointments for one night and I had two closings I canceled. Can we charge for these cancellations?
