Much of Notary Rotary's crowd on their forum went over to Facebook. The quantity of conversations is down by 75% from two years ago. Part of that is because the industry is slower. But, part is because Notaries want more privacy and freedom to talk about or bash people.
In any case, there is not just one Facebook group that is popular with Notaries, but about 30 private ones not to mention public ones such as 123notary, National Notary, etc.
It seems that the Notaries who go to these private Facebook groups are very vindictive, not too bright, and don't get much work. Would you want to hire people this hostile, or would you want to hire a seasoned pro?
Meanwhile 123notary's Facebook is doing okay, but the quantity of commenting is down also from two years ago. People are reading our posts almost as much as before, but the people with something to say seem to have left the industry for greener pastures.
Personally, I feel the industry will pick up in a year or two. Interest rates are not sustainable at such high rates with the amount of government borrowing. The government cannot afford to pay high interest rates, so they will find an artificial way to control rates just like they did in Japan and parts of Europe where they have negative interest rates in certain countries.
So, stay positive and keep your skills up.
