You can charge what the court clerks charge for solemnization of marriage, which is $30.00, and in your case if you go to them you can charge a travel fee.

You can also charge fees for any additional services you may provide - some provide complete planning services, some arrange for flowers and other incidentals, some provide specific and special venues for their weddings. These are what you'd consider an "added value" and a fee would be chargeable for that.

If it's just a basic request, you go, do the ceremony (and you MUST do the ceremony), get everything signed and leave - then $30 plus travel.

Also remember, it is your responsibility to return that signed marriage license to the county where it was issued. If that is going to require travel and time on your part then you can charge for that too.

As Notaries in Florida, we are able to officiate at weddings. I have not had the opportunity to do so until a recent inquiry. I'm not sure what to charge and wondered if someone would be so kind to offer a usual and customary fee, or range of fees, for this service. Thanks, IslandLadyT.
