Hi Jacqueline,
Just some advice. If you decide to ever go the route of advertising on google or bing etc. Be very careful with how you set your budget, and be very specific about ONLY showing ads to the areas that you service. You can also set whether you want people who are only in the area to be able to see your ad, or if they show to people searching about your area.
I also had an issue where when I was new to Google Adwords i did not know my ads were showing all over the world very broad and would also show on other websites when people weren't specifically searching for a Notary Public in my area.
I think Adwords and Bing support will help you get set up if you go that route. I find it very effective but it is quite costly and a lot of people just click on your ad to browse your website and not call.
Also, you should make sure to have a strong presence on yelp and hope that customers leave reviews. Yelp is a major source of business for me on a consistent basis.

| 123Notary has a blog site with lots of comments/writings from various members. Go to the very top of this page and click on "blog" and scroll down to marketing. There is also a Signing Company List, which is also at the top of this page. Do your research on each company on this site and NotaryRotary, before marketing to them. Some companies are known low-ballers or non-payers. Each time a company calls you, ask them where they found your listing. Your advertising is a business expense that you can write off on your taxes, however, you do want to get the best bang for each dollar you spend on advertising. |
