Got a call from an individual wanting me to get her x husband, father of her 3 children to sign over his parental rights. He wouldn't return her calls and she didn't know how to find him but wanted me to show up at his family reunion and have him sign. She would pay afterwards, and I'd have to pick up docs from her. She claimed he wouldn't be hostile to signing. Uh huh, sure. After explaining to her that it sounded like a serious matter and something that he should know about and read in advance, get counsel, and hostile or not, no one likes to be taken by surprise by some stranger showing up at a family party with something like that. I explained that the liability and ethics would prevent me from getting involved. CAN YOU BELIEVE SOME PEOPLE??
