Not from PA but, judging from the manual (page 10) it sounds like PA is just like CA and you have no choice - the handbook is clear (bold added by me for emphasis) - each act separately:

"Every notary public must keep and maintain custody and control of an accurate chronological register of all official acts. The register must contain the date of the act, the character or type of the notarial act, the date and the parties to the instrument, and the amount of the fee collected. Each notarization performed by the notary must be indicated separately."

Looks like each document listed individually with each borrower - so a doc signed by 2 borrowers and notarized will take 2 entries.

Glad I live in FL.. :)

I have been a notary in NJ since 2002, but recently became a notary in PA. In order to make sure I am accurately keeping my notary log in compliance, I am asking because I have not seen anything about this for other bulletins.
If I do a closing for a REFI for example: The borrowers sign the package- I have been filling out a line for each borrower and in the documents section, list the documents they sign:

Bor. Address ID Documents:Abcdefg Signature
CoBor. " " " "

If I must have them resign my log for each item individually:

Bor.Address ID Document A Signature
Co. Address ID Document A Signature

Bor. Address ID Document B Signature
Co. Address ID Document B Signature

And so on for each document...
-this method will take a considerable amount of more time and while I do try my best to get a package signed within an hour. I feel if method 2 is correct-this will add almost an additional half hour to an hour to just fill out my log. Help, advice is greatly appreciated from PA notaries.

RESPECTFULLY,
