Not only disorganized, but farming out the scheduling. I was called at 7:30 A.M. (morning) to take a signing later that day. I don't normally answer the phone that early, but happened to be walking past the charger, so...
Anyway, the call dropped. I couldn't get a response. She called back--10 more times--with each dropping after only a few words from her or just after I asked a question. Never did find out what the pay would be.
Anyway, after having gone through 45 minutes of trying to find out what was needed, I went on to other things, and about 1/2 hour later called the number that showed up on my phone. The person who answered said the scheduler had phone problems (no, duh!), and the person I was speaking to had already assigned the job.
Found out the scheduler is in the Phillipines. Still don't know what they would have paid.
I have feelings about this kind of company, just like I do the ones that only send out emails with jobs. They're cutting their expenses (good), but losing quality (bad), and usually don't want to pay for professional services at any level.

I've been denoting a pattern of certain disorganized agencies and/or title companies that have multiple people call the notary over their lack of inter-company communications taking up enormous amounts of time. Often these agencies will take up time and then cancel the order.
Last night was an example of my spending a lot of time trying to help an escrow agency desperate for a notary last minute that I offered to go at 11:00 pm as the earliest my scheduled allowed. The title officer told me that was fine, the borrower would accept any time. I called the borrower and all was go.
Then 3 minutes later I got a call from another agency asking me if I got a call for the signing I had accepted. I said yes, and they told me they were going to take over the signing and organize it on behalf of the title officer. I told them I couldn't do that without authorization from the officer.
I got another phone call from the officer 15 minutes later saying the borrower complained of the time and the order was canceled. I said okay and was relieved because I didn't really want to do it that late
Then about 10 minutes later I was called and told the job wasn't cancelled by some other person. I told him I would need to speak with the original person to reschedule.
By that time I was about to go into one of two signings I had that evening. Right as I was at the borrower's door, the escrow officer called me but I just let it go into voice mail and decided I wouldn't take the signing after all that.
That's just one example of the craziness some of these signings cause with disorganized phone communications.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Any stories to share?
Sincerely yours,
