Any time I'm always willing to mentor. Just be sure you are willing to make the committment. Mostly nights, never home for dinner up wee hours in morning if it's an early closing. And constantly chasing companies for the docs. This is a very detailed/involved business and requires a lot of attention and time before you get to the closing, then to complete the package for shipment and responding to the demands of the signing/title company. If you are not a cross the T's-dot the I's kinda person don't even try this business.

Signing Companies would be the ones to start with, title companies will not hire you without experience. And the Signing companies typically will offer very low fees (which you will need to accept) until you have experience under your belt. I've been in this buz 12 years at that time there were no training classes. My first loan package I read and reread and continue to read with each pkg that arrives. If your state is not a license/attorney state your requirements would be know the docs but when there are questions regarding legal matters (such as decifiering) a legal clause it's up to the loan officer/title company NOT YOU. You will need at least 50,000 in E&O insurance to cover Notarial errors. Feel free to email me at ileneseidel@hotmail.com if you have further questions. Good luck Oh an by the way you need a laser printer (2 drawer is best) a good desk/lap top.

most companies will not hire notaries with no experience unless
you have proven to them you are dependable and worth taking a chance on.
This is because they have been “burned” in the past by inaccurate signings that were done by lazy and incompetent notaries. Therefore, you need to make a decision right now. Are you willing to
invest a few weeks into learning how to do a professional job and obtaining more education before signing up with companies -- or do you sign up with them in an attempt to make a fast buck and destroy your company?
