thank you EGW for the feedback and support. If they call at the last minute, they have to know we have a schedule too and have commitments to other companies too.

I am in total agreement with you. I tell the signing company I need my documents two hours before closing and if I don't have them (if I'm against another closing) that they will need to reschedule or find somebody else. I just started that for 2012. Last year I was feeling very stressed on more than one occcasion and made a resolution for this year that I would not put up with it any more. I also "fired" Service Link as they were the worst culprit and given the aggravation factor and their reduced fees I did myself a tremendous favor.

I have had many days screwed up because of late docs. My new policy is that if I dont receive them by a certain time, to have the agency reschedule it with someone else for that day if my day is full. To make a living at this you have to do several a day. I allow plenty of time between but there are times when it will be impossible to return home to print after each and every appt. I get a lot of last minute calls and I realize it is the nature of the work but I suspect that others signing agents wont operate with last minute stuff. Their lack of planning and lateness does not constitute my emergency. This happened all day yesterday and one printer broke down and the other one kept jamming. It was hell on wheels. When I have refused at last minute before they become irrate and tell me 'that I CAN'T cancel at the last minute!' Well sorry, I cannot rearrange my entire day of appts because of their lateness.
