Hi there! Just wanted to point out that there are several threads with names of companies doing the exact same thing. We all need to share the names of these companies so we are aware of who to stay away from. Don't protect them, expose them ;) Thanks!!!

This sounds so familiar, Diana. Maybe it was the same company we were dealing with. It took 6 months to get paid and the people in accounting came up with bizarre excuses that just didn't add up and they were only in one day a week.
After months of calling and leaving countless voicemails it would be like this:
Week 21: It's on her desk, she just needs to sign it and it will be mailed out with the next batch.
Week 22: It was dropped in the mailbox, but the postman maybe forgot check it last Friday.
Week 23: Oh, I see it on her desk, It looks like she finally signed it. I'll put a sticky note on it to have yours send out first.
Week 24: What? You never received it? Ok we'll just cancel that check and send out a new one.
Another excuse was about distance being the reason for the wait. They would try to estimate how long it would take for the check to get from California out to Virginia (5 days maybe?) like it was Pony Express! But other companies from the West Coast had no problem sending a check and I'd receive my pay in as little as two days. Go figure! |

Yep, I’ve heard most of these excuses….and what is interesting is that the same company (I won’t mention the name, but it took about 5 months to finally get a check from them ?!) was creative enough to use different excuses every time- THEY MUST HAVE BEEN EXPERTS at this…

I keep adding excuses, so now it's 34 excuses. I bet you have heard a few of these ones before. Please don't work for companies that don't pay the notaries. You are not only harming yourself, but harming our community by working for those types of companies.
