Did you send them money when you registered? There are at least two new companies that are soliciting assignments through e-mails for very large fees. When a notary responds they're told the assignment has been filled, but if they want other assignments, send something around $50.00 to register with the company. It's a SCAM. |

I have registered with Locate Notary.
I had responded to an e mail from them regarding a notary assignment-told them I was available.
I received an e mail back saying they would give me the necessary information via e mail within one hour.
Needless to say, they didn't hold to their word! I left them phone messages on their customer service line-no response.
Finally, I got so disgusted with them that I sent them an e mail this morning asking to be "removed" from this notary assignment.
Again, no response, but I did see an e mail asking notaries if they were available to handle the assignment.
The fee to do the job was $150.00, and I really didn't want to give up the assignment.
However, if a company like Locate Notary doesn't even have the courtesy to "communicate" with their notaries, I don't know how they can stay in business.
Needless to say, I'll never accept another assignment from this company.
