How are you commissioned in 3 states? Particularly when GA is an attorney-only state. Are you an attorney? Who passed the bar in 3 states? And the best thing you can find to do is Notary work?

Another marketing technique is handing out cards at convelescent homes, hospitals, jails, etc. Chamber of commerce is good too. Websites are excellent especially with lots of incoming links. Travel agents who have a lot of Mexican clients might give you leeds for "permission to travel with accompanying adult" papers. Lots of times children will travel to Mexico with an uncle or family friend.

Each state has their own set of rules and regulations when it comes to notaries. For example, here in New Hampshire we have what is called Commissioner of Deeds which allows us to cross state lines as a notary. Many notaries have dual residency and are therefore permitted to be a notary in each state.

How can you be commissioned in three different states when most states require that you reside in that state in order to become a notary for that state???

A great way to advertise is a good business card, become a member of the Better Business Bureau if you can, and word of mouth. When I do signings, I ask the borrower if they would like to contact my company and let them know what they thought of my ability to close their loan. I give them a contact name and telephone number.

Many of my companies have emailed or called me to let me know that the borrower was very pleased with my abilities. In turn, I have become exclusive (do all New Hamsphire signings)with several companies as their personal Notary.

I market my company by word of mouth, really. We are members of the Chamber of Commerce, and my web page is pretty well linked.
I've had success with these ideas for 4 years!
