Check link to San Diego DA for the claim form to be emailed to you. If we all file, we have a chance. The complaints trigger and back-up the investigation by them into Hector Vidas scam activities.

These signing agencies are our "agents" as they represent us in regard to the title/escrow company payment and are entrusted by us to forward the money to us that has been collected by them from the title/escrow companies on our behalf for the notary/signing services we have completed. I am trying to find out if this embezzled money can be protected from bankruptcy claims, since it is "our" money that they have received from the title/escrow companies on our behalf.

Thankfully I have not had any contact with HRV Notaries since my last job for them in April. They were 3 weeks late with payment but I DID get paid. I wish you all luck in getting your money.

I did some jobs for HVR in July and August and they owe me $365. I have not gotten return phone calls or responses to e-mails in months. I just received form from the San Diego DA's office and am getting ready to file my complaint. Everyone who has been stiffed by Hector Vides needs to file a complaint so the DA can see how many people were cheated out of fees.

I have three past-due invoices from July. I have called and gotten all the same excuses. Also, I have had mixed results working for them. JJ can be very aggressive and demanding as well as Mayra. They are also quick to accuse notaries if incompetency. Also, they always asked that I go the extra mile for them. I intend to contact the title companies they work with as well. Has anyone gotten paid of late?

I am sending in my letter to the DA in San Diego, Ca today. It probably won't help us get paid, but it will let them know the scope of money HVR owes us.

I don't think I will be signing for JJ at their new company either unless they pay upfront through a service like paypal.

I know who I talked to when I was hired, so even if the company has a relative on the fictitious name registration w/the State, that person is responsible ALSO !!

Too bad this couldn't happen with Nationwide Settlement and Samantha DiFranco. With all of her lying and false promises, that woman needs to be taken down a notch or 50.

I, too, have emailed my complaint. I hope these people are never able to start another business again. Why do people have to be this way?

Someone from HVR Mobile Notaries called me yesterday regarding a September 2013 invoice I have open for them ($75). They said they were going to be filing bankruptcy and I may or may not get paid. Just an FYI for all of those out there who are wondering where your payment may be. I have decided that I will not work for signing companies anymore unless I've done a lot of work for them in the past and that I have no outstanding invoices. I am working strictly for title companies and mortgage companies from now on. I can't afford to do closings for free for anyone as they end up costing me money in time, paper, toner and travel.

I have worked with HVR (and FYI, Hector is the owner), since he started this company over 6 years ago. He personally came to meet and interview me before allowing me to work for his new company. This showed me that he was serious and he took pride in his company. JJ has always been professional, as well as Mayra. I believe I have worked with Mark a few times too. However, in the last 6 years that I have been doing business with them, I have never had a problem with anyone being rude, nor have I experienced missed payments. It would be good to remember that many companies pay on a 30-45 day schedule and most do not pay within 2 weeks unless you are working directly with the lender.

Check out Ripoff Report.com file #109011. At the bottom you can add your amts past due from when. This will give a clear picture of the national scope.

This is making me sad. HVR has been one of my favorite companies to work for. I have never had any problems with them until now. Am waiting for payment on 3 invoices from July. First email, no response. Second email, JJ said he would let the accountant know. That was on 9/23/13. Still no check. I do not know who Myra is. Does someone have an email address for her?
Thank you!

Payment issues exist (2 weeks + late at times) but if you email Mayra, she'll get right on it. She says HVR has an accountant who takes care of everything. HVR (Mark) never asks me my fee; he just quotes a price and I either accept or I do not.

Do you have her email, I have three invoices, I have been trying to get payment for, and would appreciate any help! Thank-you!

Have not paid for over 2 months, full of excuses. Do not take these closings unless you like to work for free or just want practice. I should have read this forum prior to working for HVR and I would have more time and money. Just empty promises and no payment, and I am dealing direct with Myra---- but the invisible accountant is NEVER there. No more HVR for me.
