I did a closing for Allison on 11/20/13. I just received the check on 12/4/13. I found her to be professional and accessible.

DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY! this lady is VERY unprofessional and took almost 3 months to send me my payment. Will NOT EVER work for her again. She is RUDE and has no respect for our work. Had to pretty much pull teeth to get paid. |

I've worked with her before and she is rude and doesn't respect notaries. Won't be working for her again. |

Well I did a closing. I got paid. But good luck trying to get her to answer emails or phone calls. Her voice is best heard on voice mail. When someone doesn't respond it certainly doesn't give you a warm fuzzy feeling, does it? I don't understand it.

Has anyone worked with this company lately? I received an email for a closing from them at 2:50pm and I responded back and called at 3:00pm. Two days now have gone by. I have emailed several times and called 5 times leaving messages. Is this company worth the effort? |

I did a job for Allison which did not close to do illness of the borrower. When I spoke to her regarding this situation, she advised I would get paid. After two months of telephoning and emailing, and receiving nothing, I sent a demand letter by email. This letter seemed to get her all riled up, but even that did no good. So I sent a letter to the title company and lender as well. Then I received a call last week from the title company advising I would get a check for less than half of what I was originally quoted to do the job (even though I spent better than 1-1/2 hours at the signing). I expect to get a check by the end of next week. If not, then I plan on taking further action.

You will only be paid if they get paid. I have been waiting very patiently for almost 5 months. She states that they will only pay you for a no-sign IF the loan goes to the table a SECOND time and only if it closes. THEY ONLY PAY IF LOANS CLOSE. Period. If it does not go back to the table you will never be paid.
Allison Mccaferty clearly states that they only pay if loans close and they are paid. If they do not get their money, you do not get yours. She says this is the nature of the business and I should chalk it up. Well, it's not part of my business. I refuse to work for someone when I my payment is contingent on a third party. Also, this is not in her contract- so beware.
This is why it is so very important to know your vendor and to clearly communicate orally and in writing at the outset so everyone is on the same page. We employ a great number of independent contractors just as we are employed by numerous loan, title, law firms, et cetera to handle closings throughout Georgia. Some companies follow the norm while others do not. Know your vendor so you can maintain an excellent relationship for the long term. Thanks for your thoughts. Burton F. |
