Keep those responses coming folks. I still to date have not be asked. I do work however with just tile, escrow and loan officers. No SS for the most part.

Over a period of a couple of years, I have had 4 BGCs done. All but 1 was paid for by the co. requesting it. I had another one done recently for other purposes, but it included a Livescan Fingerprint, FBI & State Police check. This cost me $26.95. I have been asked by several SS (for whom I have never done a signing) for a BGC & they have accepted the $26.95 one. I am still working for 3 of 'the big 5' who, to date, have NOT asked for nor required a BGC...1 of them wanted & paid for a BGC quite a while ago. I will NOT pay a dime to the NNA.

When I first started, I had to have one to work with First American and the other 4 that needed them. Then when the big thing recently I got it through NNA. Now when I signed up with another company they needed it done and said the NNA didn't use the particular background checking company that they were going to use. Perhaps a more detailed one or something. So who knows. I only paid for the one at the NNA.

I have currently been asked for six background checks in the past year. I submitted to one and refuse to have any more done. My state does them and that is good enough for me.

How many of you are currently being asked for background check information from existing clients or new ones?
