Agree with Copperhead and Linda that more details are needed.

If the mother is having problems accessing her bank account, did she also sign a POA or other document limited her authority, that someone provided to the bank? Or, were there any documents presented to the bank regarding the "capacity" of the mother to be able to handle her finances? Worse yet, did they provide a copy of the will and testament and somehow convince the bank she has passed on?

I have an Uncle that is now partially incapacitated and he tried to move a substantial amount of money into a risky investment a very nice young broker was trying to sell him (he does not recall even trying to do make this buy - but he did sign paperwork for the transaction). The bank held off on any transaction until it was cleared or cancelled by his beneficiaries as the bank had been presented with documentation in advance limiting his signatory authority. The situation presented from oldnotary sounds potentially similar.

Okay...if I'm reading this right...a long time friend of your mother's is/was a notary who notarized your mother's will and the notary's mother and husband were witnesses. After doing this she also notarized documents concerning your mother's bank account and now your mother is having a problem accessing her funds...

Is that it? Is that what you meant?

Please restate your question - I have no idea what you are talking about. Also don't know what you mean when you say "she notified documents".

Who do I notify if document is notified for a long time friend, a last will and testament, then witnessed by her mother and husband. The state is Nevada. This notary has caused trouble for my 93 year old mother because after doing that she notified documents that make it difficult for my mother to have access to her banking account. I hope I am at the right forum. If so thank you for any advice.
