Stick to signings , the loan mods atleast in Maryland are illegal if up front fee are to be collected, save yourself the hassle.

I would stay away from any and all of these loan modification application appointments where a check is collected. Just search the boards - they are nothing but trouble (search 21st Century and Spectra Signing). This type of transaction is illegal in many states now - in my state of VA as of July 1, 2009, it became illegal to collect a check up-front for "foreclosure rescue services".

If it's the actual loan modification agreement from the lender that requires the borrower to sign and have his/her signature notarized - great! No problem doing that.

HAS ANYONE HEARD OF OR DONE ANY WORK FOR NFS AMERICA? LISA RUSSO IS THE ONE WHO HAS REQUESTED THIS "MODIFICATION" AND I AM TO COLLECT A CHECK FOR DEAN WEBER. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY COMMENTS OR KNOWLEDGE OF THEM?
