I sincerely appreciate all the comments. I did finally get paid from the nsf check.
Just a note about checking on a company before taking an assignment...many times I am "on the road" and accept a job "on the fly", and when I accept a job I keep my word. I've never NOT been paid...sometimes it is EVENTUALLY with lots of reminders, but I do use the letter from this site, and it obviously is very effective. I recommend it to anyone with late or non pays.

21st Century SCAM legal SCAM service operates under a few names, one being EAST Coast something and Fedelity or Fidelity ??? , all the info is clearly posted on this message board, read the older post,

in addition, avoid the load mod companies where the application is the request, key here is " no docs to notarize" just have people fill out the information, with nothing to notarize you wouldn't be acting as a notary, more like a courier..... I actually had Notary On the __________, contact me loan mod application, I told the person I just don't do loan mod application ..simple.. the person ask if I new anyone notary or not that I could get.... I asked her for real?? told the person I had a Uncle Jimmy in that city except he is 92 and kinda grouchy, still not hearing me.. the person says .. do you know anyone else....??? are you kidding me!!! BOTTOM LINE LEAVE THE LOAN MODS TO THE LAWYERS!!!!!!!

I had worked for this company several times and always got paid quickly.
Now I have an invoice for work I did for them dated Aug.3 and I can't get paid. I should have known something was funny when they would never send me a confirmation but would just give me the borrower info over the phone. Now I'm trying to collect my $85 and their number has been changed and they won't answer the new one. Won't return my calls or answer my faxes. When I try to reply to a email it won't go through.
I'm TICKED!! I would tell all notaries to tell them to Kiss our A**

I was contacted July 14th by this company and asked to do a signing near me. I was out of town at the time, but when I returned, they had not emailed the e-docs to me as they indicated they would. I then did a search on this company, and thankfully, found this information as well as MUCH more. I won't be attending the signing, thanks to all of you watching out for each other.

Sad thing is Montana that there are 67 comments about this company just a few threads down. It really really helps to check out a company "before" you take the assignment. Check here and the other boards. You won't regret it.

On June 1, 2009 this company contracted me to take an application to a borrower who had contacted them thru a phone call/TV ad and the company promised to get their payments lowered. 21st Century Legal took 3 checks (2 postdated) and the papers they signed stated NOT to talk to the lender who currently carried their loan. I felt like telling the folks it was a "scam" and walk out, but I didn't. I don't know if their end was scam or not. 21st Century sent me a check dated June 4 and I cashed it June 9th. It was returned NSF. I have called (number disconnected) and written the 123 Notary demand letter and I fax it every other day. No response.
Just to let you know.
