This is an interesting topic. For notaries who want their 123 profile to show up well on google based on a name based search, here are a few quick suggestions.
1. Having a good listing with a good notes section helps a lot. 2. If you have a web page or website and link to your page on 123notary.com, that really helps tremendously too. 3. If you link to your listing from a page on the forum that you wrote, that helps a bit too, but don't do this more than once or twice, because google doesn't like that.

When I search "notary in Northville" (my city), my PERSONAL & CURRENT listing on 123 comes up in the 10th slot.
My personal listing for N/R comes in at number 8, but for some reason it's from 2007, and if I click on it, it also shows "most current postings" from me, from 2007.
I don't know what you're doing, Jeremy - but you seem to be doing it right, and I sure do appreciate all the effort! |

Dear notaries, Our optimization has yielded great results. Our average state page comes up 7th on google using keyword combinations such as Montana notary, Ohio notary, etc. I'm not sure how difficult it will be to improve our ratings from this point on, but we are always working on it. A year ago we were not even on the first several pages on most of our state pages, so the progress is huge.
We are also doing well on many of our city pages. You can help us do even better by making sure your notes sections have at least 50 words and are well written and original looking. Thanks.

Tips for using the forum
The most important feature on the forum is the search box. You can look up a particular word, phrase, name of a company, and see a potentially large list of search results with which you can obtain data. Filters are also valuable. If you want to find popular posts, you can use the number of views filter. You can also see whats new with the active topics link. Email us at info@123notary.com if you need any help using the notary forum.
Resources
The notary public resource page is valuable as it has links to all of the free information pages for notaries. Pages linked to the resource page include a page that teaches you everything you need to know to get the most out of your listing. Another page teaches you all the secrets of getting paid. There is a link to our free list of signing companies. There is also a glossary, learning tools, and much more.
If you are a notary, the free tips we give are invaluable.
