Just a friendly reminder. Remeber to check your instructions carefully. I have some clients who instruct all notaries DO NOT submit your business card or advertising material in the package. They feel we might be soliciting their client.
Some even instruct do not leave a business card with the borrower.
Happy Signings! |

I have been using rubber bands very successfully for a few years with no complaints from anybody. Talk about a savings....

I always include at least 3 business cards, a color brochure of my services and a cover letter thanking the client for their continued business. There have been so many layoffs and office closures. And due to the industry changes, it doesn't hurt to re-introduce yourself. Often times, the assistant EO is now handling the returning documents. Why not let them know about your services.
FYI- Join your local Escrow Association. I'm now on the Board of Directors for my local chapter. Even though I've been a member for several years, the new status has certainly brought me so much more business. I also attend state level meetings. I'm networking with Escrow Officers for several regions. Market and SELL YOUR SERVICES.

UPS also has legal size hard pack that will work with the binder clips.

Oh, excellent idea about the business card, Ken! When I had my previous business, NOTHING left my office without a business card. I must be having brain fade...
Thanks!

Most of my returns are fedex. I always use the "sturdy pak" which is large enough for even the piggiest of piggyback's. Even with plenty of room in the container - I always use a binder clip. First, it looks neater, and second it secures my business card to the top of the pile.
It also holds in place the check, paystub, etc.

Do you use these on the docs you send back to the lender? The docs are usually so tight in the envelope that I haven't seen a need.
TIA!

Email us at info@123notary.com if you need any help using the notary forum.
Resources
The notary public resource page is valuable as it has links to all of the free information pages for notaries. Pages linked to the resource page include a page that teaches you everything you need to know to get the most out of your listing. Another page teaches you all the secrets of getting paid. There is a link to our free list of signing companies. There is also a glossary, learning tools, and much more.
