Hits and jobs are two separate animals. In the old days, we didn't have the technology to know who was getting jobs. Now, we have a better idea from people clicking the "I'm going to use this notary" button.
Having more hits doesn't make you a hit -- unfortunately, but it doesn't hurt either. Basically, having more clicks translates to more jobs, but it is not PROPORTIONAL. Someone with 30% more clicks is getting about 100% more jobs, and 30% less clicks than average means you are barely working.
Also keep in mind, that notaries will click on their own listing from time to time when they update, and their friends and people they know will click on it too, which distorts the averages a bit.
Clicks averages tell us part of the story, but its only about 20% of what you need to know.

You can also compare your stats to county or nationwide stats on the stats page which is accessible from the site map. Good luck.

Thank you, Jeremy. You always seem so involved and ready to help or resolve any issue that may arise, from reading through and including this particular post. I have located and am happy to see the listing hit percentage quote on my site. Thanks so very much!

We did some new programming, and now anyone can see their listing click average by logging into their listing. The info is at the top of the edit page. Good luck.

Programming is in the process of putting your listing hit information on your admin area. The work is not done yet, but should be in two weeks or less!!!

Hi Linda, I would like to help. There are many things that your listing lacks that would really help. (1) 123 certification (2) A company name (3) I added you to a few neighboring counties with low placement free of charge. I wish you would have requested that a long time ago. That will really help. (4) Having only one phone contact method might not be the best approach. I recommend two or three different numbers. (5) Do you have a website of your own? That may or may not help depending on how you do it. (6) This is a slow time for most of us, I can't change the industry, I can only give good pointers.

Linda, It's because you are a fellow 123notary.com member that I humbly suggest you look at the websites (including my dumpy one) of 123 members for ideas and marketing concepts. I'm not suggesting you copy sites word for word - but see what your peers are doing, even if you dont develop a website of your own.

Hi Linda,
I am sorry to hear this. Give it some time. Ohio has been ht really hard with this mortgage meltdown nightmare. I am also going to call you next week to go over your profile with you. I see a couple of things that we can do that may help allot.

I really enjoy learning from the forum on 123. The new data base for clients is totally awesome. The grading is GREAT! It opens up the prospect of new business opportunities. I too would appreciate the #1 spot in Maricopa County.

Yes, I would have to agree that 123 is my best listing as well...I would love the top spot in my county though!

123 is by FAR my most productive listing - I'm at the top for my zip - woohoo for me! Even when I was down the list a few places (but always a premier member), 123 has always been the most productive for me.I almost never get the low-ball calls anymore, and I don't know if it's because by now they've all put a Sharpie line through my name? They just gradually faded into the horizon. |

Like most, I pay for a reasonable listing on several sites. Keeping track of where a person saw my name is important but even more important are two things: the quality of the offer made by the caller and the quality and/or rating of the firm calling. If all I get from the listing is persons looking for personal notary work - that doesn't help a lot. If the calls are typically low-ball offers, that doesn't help much either. If it is from a company that doesn't pay that isn't great either. If they are shopping for someone where quality and experience matters, then I'm interested.
Based on this, I'll say this is the number two site by my rating method and they (like one car rental company used to say) are trying harder to be number 1. Jeremy is doing a great job and constantly trying to improve. |

I just HAVE to reply to this, based on my personal experience:
I commented in truth here on this site a year or so ago that I rarely received any work from my Top-Spot (Premium) listing on Notary Rotary. The board owner replied that I had received a million-gazillion hits (I can't remember exactly the number he quoted so yes, I'm embellishing) to defend the benefit of being a Premium member on his site.
Folks, most of the hits he was referred to were from:
- Interest: ie; drama posts and/or my posts and/or replies from me on his board
- Curiosity: members/visitors who might want to look at my photo or profile and/or link to my site.
THESE HITS WERE NOT WORK. I keep very close records of "Where did you find me?" so that I know where my marketing dollars are working FOR ME. Please allow me to speak again with my truth and close by saying, "Hits are interesting and of SOME Value, but hits do not necessarily mean WORK/$$".
I understand BOTH sides! love, kelly

Renee... Per My Post...I stated it was simply a personal thing...Although your perspective is certainly true..."hits" on a notary member site does suggest to me that I am indeed experiencing a positive flow of traffic, albeit shoppers, inquiries, etc., doesn't matter...it simply suggests to me that a particular site is doing what it is suppose to do. I've been on this forum for a matter of a days, and have had positive responses and work generated as a result. Again, just a personal thing. Don't let it confuse you. Numbers of clicks on a site does suggest traffic flow directly TO YOU, even if just for a few seconds...to me THAT IS POSITIVE ADVERTISEMENT.
Good Luck to you!

I also am confused about the listing hits. I get calls because someone found me on the web through yellow pages and not through 123notary. If I can't help the caller out I refer them to 123notary website to find other notaries in their zip code area. That means I'm sending hits to notaries below my 123 notary listing. I too would like to know the number of hits on my listing. send to admin@acemobilenotary.com. Will more hits equal more calls? And if so how can I create more hits? |

I'm confused - why would the number of listing hits be of any interest? All I care about are the number of calls I get from my listing, not the hits - hits don't send checks in the mail.
The hits are also easily inflated with non-business queries - particularly if you post something that raises reader's curiosity about you. I have thousands of 'hits' on another listing site, yet I certainly don't get thousands of calls originating from there - so what's the worth of knowing the stats? |

I just signed up with 123notary, and thus far have been so very happy with it! Signed up Sunday, got a signing today as a result, so I couldn't be happier with my experience! However, I was wondering if there is any way (and if there obviously is, I apologize for clearly missing it) to find out how many times my listing has been looked at?
Thank you very much for any and all replies!
