I guess it goes without saying that we often run into unusual situations as notaries and here is one of them!

I'm doing a power of attorney for a 92 year old lady and her nephew. We sit down at the table and to my horror she takes out her top and lower teeth and plunks them down next to me at the table. Phew, they smell of sewage and every unkempt odor you can possibly imagine.This stench is making my eyes water.

I avoid being discourteous to this senior citizen and I finish the signing by holding my breath and praying for fresh air!

Dear God, I've never been so happy to finish an assignment.
