I had the idea long time ago that instead of only having individual notaries, signing companies, title, and escrow etc. that notaries could band together and be their own signing companies. If a group of ten notaries got together and started their own co-op signing company and only hired notaries who were part owners, then they could solve the problem of getting paid ontime. Since the company would be run by notaries, they would be sympathetic to the needs of notaries ( which primarily is getting paid on time ). Of course the complication would be organizing the endeavor and deciding who would operate the office, who would work in the field, what percentage of funds would go to the notaries and the office staff, and what percentage would go for operating expenses and future growth. Also what to do if some of the notaries did better quality work than others. Systems would have to be in place for all of these issues. But this one idea could eliminate a lot of grief that notaries go through on a daily basis. The co-op could pay the notaries by paypal the same night they finished a job as soon as they submitted a tracking #. Notaries, please let me know your feedback.
