Ah, now that IS helpful! You, alone, have the ability to analyze what info produces the most interest by hiring parties. Thank you for sharing your observations. "Psychological marketing"--good concept!

You are right in your comment. It doesn't matter what type of signing it is in general. However, the users of our site click more on profiles that detail what type of work you know how to do. They are more comfortable hiring you if you are familiar with their type of loan. This is what I call psychological marketing.

Additionally, the intelligence of a Notary can be summed up in part by how well they describe what they do. Those who say, "I do everything." say that because they have "nothing" to say. Those who neatly itemized are organized thinkers and have mental clarity -- or so I think.

Thing is, regardless of 'type of signing', all we're really doing is checking IDs, watching 'em sign, and then notarizing their signature on an Acknowledgment. Or putting them under oath for a Jurat prior to above. I've seen most of those mentioned (except Adoption, Demolition, & a few others I don't remember) and reality is the document isn't our concern--just check that there are no blanks and 'notarize, don't analyze'.

So I can see where a notary might say "I do 'em all" and not go into a long list of possibilities...especially when GNW is involved. POA, Guardianship, Bill of Sale...and on & on & on... Jeremy, you might be on that call for longer than you'd care to listen.

If you don't value your time and experience, nobody else will.

When I ask Notaries what types of signings they do, many say, "I do all of them." This is unhelpful non-information and a waste of my time because I have not seen any notary who does everything on my list. But, can you add to my list? am I missing anything?

1031 exchanges, Adoptions, Assumptions, Applications, Auto Loans, Annuities, CEMA, Conventional, Commercial, Construction, Debt Consolidations, Deed in Lieu, Demolition, Foreclosures, Inspections, Investments, Helocs, Modifications, Purchases (Buyer, Seller, Sales, etc.), REO, Refinances, Reverse, REO, Refinances (VA, FHA), RESPA, SBA (courtesy of LEE) Time Shares, USDA (corn fed), etc.
