Not too far-fetched...we can often be found in cyberspace looking for the link to documents we need for a job.

If you don't value your time and experience, nobody else will.

Maybe one day there will be Portal Notaries. Notaries who go into a portal to other dimensions to notarize people. That will be known as a pNotary. Interesting.

My state does not currently allow us to be RON notaries, tho' we can (IF so commissioned) do eNotarization using a platform, but still have to be face-to-face with the signer/s (and haul a bunch of electronics around in the car and in/out of locations)--sounds like a lot of expense & work & risk to expensive equipment to me for not much ROI.

Also, it seems there are so many different platforms, but not all hiring parties use the same platform. It also seems that ALL the liability for ANYTHING that goes wrong falls on the notary, who makes the least. Plus, for GNW, you're also dependent upon the technical ability (or lack of it) of the signer. Doesn't sound interesting or lucrative to me.

Like electric cars--there may be a small market for them now and they may (or not) be the future, but we aren't anywhere near there yet.

If you don't value your time and experience, nobody else will.

One of our Notaries became a remote online Notary. She got clients, but the issues with cameras and other technical difficulties made it like pulling teeth to get anything done and make any money. So, that is one account. We are getting more and more online notaries on our site. I'm not sure if they make any money at it, but at least they are offering the service.
