One of the most difficult experiences I had concerned an assignment to handle a telephone conference with a Judge in another state, the Attorney representing the woman in a nearby town in my state, and the woman. I confirmed with the client upon accepting the assignment as well as the day before I was to go to her house. I arrived at her house 15 minutes before the scheduled conference to give me time to examine her identification, make an entry in my Notary Journal for her to sign, and await the Judge's call with my Notary Certificate of Appointment for his reference. Okay - that's the background. I knocked on the door (doorbell didn't work)- I heard a "Come in," and I opened the door. Bang, knock, ouch, bang, ouch - the woman was a hoarder and a stack of boxes at the door fell on me. I said, "Hi, I'm Penny, here on behalf of Attorney _______ to assist you with a telephone conference call. Could you kindly move the boxes to one side so that I can come in to look at your identification, have you sign my Journal, and swear you in for your court testimony per the Judge's prior request, and await the Judge's call?" She put her cigarette out in her hand, tossed the butt on the floor, kicked at the boxes, and said her phone was just disconnected. No place to sit - boxes and trash from ceiling to floor. A cat meowed and did its business on top of a box. The smell in there was awful. Standing, and balancing, I checked her id, made an entry in my Journal, which she signed, and I called the Attorney on my phone, who had already gone to Court and wasn't answering, so I called her office and asked the Attorney's Secretary to please text her, contact her (handle this!) , let her know to have the Judge call MY cell number. The woman made it back to a cluttered sofa and sank into it. I remained standing where I had come in. My phone rang, I put it on speaker, the Judge introduced himself, inquired about my Notary Certificate of Appointment, the lawyer introduced herself, the Judge asked if I had sworn her in, I said yes, he preliminarily spoke with the woman, the Judge dismissed me, and then the conference began. I couldn't leave because they were on MY phone!!! When it was over, I took my phone back, thanked her for her time, kicked some items away from my feet, and left. That was an unpleasant experience. I've had other notary assignments with hoarders, but that was the worst.

My worst experience was walking into a house and there were pictures of naked women on all the walls. Not classy pictures*****type cut out of magazines. It was a point and sign fast session... I don't even think I looked the guy in the eye nor did I make casual conversation. Yuck!!!
Second worst when a man that is older than my father asked me out while we were doing his refi... When I said no he accused me of discriminating against him because I knew his age. I replied no I am discriminating against you because you smoke.

What is the worst experience you had as a female Notary or the most dangerous? We found out that 74% of our Facebook followers are ladies, so let's cater the conversation to them. (and when I say cater, I'm talking low calorie too.)
