I got this too - and did the same - called Regency who advised me she is not affiliated with that company.

I recognized her name because I got an email a while back from her saying she got my info here and wanted help with documents to purchase their first home here in my area. I (foolishly) clicked on the link she provided which took me to dropbox but I couldn't access them without a password. A couple days later I got a google alert that someone had attempted to sign into my email account but had been blocked.

There are several different names pulling this - has been widely reported by numerous notaries on two other forums.

I received the following email:

I found your info on 123notary.com

Are you available to handle a reverse mortgage signing for us on Wednesday at 12:00 If so please let me know your fee, so i can send the doc through secure mail

Escrow Officer, Team Manager

Regency Escrow

25950 Acero, Suite 100

Mission Viejo, CA 92691

I was not able to get to the docs through her attachment, so I called Regency Escrow (I had to look up their phone number as non was included with the email). The person whom I talked to at Regency told me that Mary Cuevas is a fraudulent name and not to reply to any request from anyone claiming to be this person.

Tips for using the forum
The most important feature on the forum is the search box. You can look up a particular word, phrase, name of a company, and see a potentially large list of search results with which you can obtain data. Filters are also valuable. If you want to find popular posts, you can use the number of views filter. You can also see whats new with the active topics link. Email us at info@123notary.com if you need any help using the notary forum.

The notary public resource page is valuable as it has links to all of the free information pages for notaries. Pages linked to the resource page include a page that teaches you everything you need to know to get the most out of your listing. Another page teaches you all the secrets of getting paid. There is a link to our free list of signing companies. There is also a glossary, learning tools, and much more. If you are a notary, the free tips we give are invaluable.
