Ironic Update: SoI send a message to see what docs they want faxed because the list they sent isn't matching the docs in the package. So he messages back asking if I can scan the entire 96 pages and they will increase my fee to $100! That was my initial fee, |

Just a little rant, I already agreed to a lesser fee than I quoted with the understanding that there was only 86 pages to print (it's actually a little over double that) and no fax backs (which there are about 20). Okay not thrilled with the agreement but it's okay because I informed the person I spoke to that I would waive $20 due to it being the first time I have worked for this company. Well I'm talking to borrower explaining the process we are about to embark on as a friend of his walks up with his driver's license and some kind of document in his hand, I am thinking maybe it is a same*****marriage and they are signing together. At this point the borrower looks at me and says oh I have something else I need notarized and so does he. I said, "is it about this loan?" He said,"No, but they said it would be alright since I'm already paying so much for the notary services." I wanted to tell him that I'm not even getting my full fee to start with and now I'm doing not one but two additional jobs for free. I didn't though I not my tongue then signed and stamped the additional documents though I did tell him that they should be an additional fee but I will go ahead this time. Like there will ever be a next time...If there is to be a next time for The Best Notary and myself, I just wish to let it be known in advance that I won't be so loose with my fees. I am very aware of the fact that I am one of a very small number of mobile notaries in this rural area and I could charge much higher fees because the companies like yourselves don't have many options, but I choose not to and keep my fees at a fairly competitive rate. I don't appreciate my kindness being taken as a weakness and exploited. I hope our future, if there is one, shows a better sign of promise. Having got all that off my chest and documented I will now be heading to my house after stopping to get my tire repaired them I will scan back to you. Actually, I will see if I can use my phone scanner to send them.
Thank you Bonnie Ely
