I was right in the middle of a loan signing last night and after handing the borrower the right to cancel document she said "oh I put the wrong date, can I just cross it out"? Well of course not I said and handed her another. That is when I took a good look at her signature. Totally different than the one she signed my journal with.

So I stopped her from signing the new document and asked her why the different signature. "I sign my name with a different signature every time I sign something" she said. So I halt the signing and proceed to look at the signed docs and much to my surprise the only ones with a different signature is the note and deed. "Could you hand me the copies please", we are going to sign this loand again.

So she signed all the documents again as I watched making sure there were no "other" signatures. My explanation for the resigning was accepted and I left, wondering what she was up too.
