I received payment today, 4/10/2014. It came via the mail. The check description states a reissue. The check is dated 4/10/2014, today's date. Post dating a check is illegal.

I'm not splitting hairs. Some will say be glad you got payment. I am. The post dated check however, tells me that my concerns and suspicions are valid.

Like I said, keep a eye out.

Yes, I've worked with them. At one time they were paying on a weekly basis, but lately I've been having to invoice them to remind them that I've yet to be paid as was customarily done almost immediately. Their reply on each occasion was that they have changed their payroll system. Sorry, I can see that happen once, but to have the same excuse said to me over a few months between each transaction tells me that they are losing ground. They are clearly feeling the pinch and unless you invoice them at the time of loan closing, you will be delayed payment, which in my opinion bides them some time.

Their website also states that they originate loans. While I know that at least one of them has lending experience, any company marketing themselves as a notary settlement service and finds that it has to do originations is clearly not busy in one and needs the other to keep it and themselves from going in the red.

I say keep a watchful eye out.

Yes, I currently do closings for U&OB Notary Services. The owners are extremely professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. What sets U&OB Notary Services a part from other signing companies is the WEEKLY pay! I've never worked for ANY other signing companies that have such a fast turnaround rate on paying their notary signing agents---no 30 day wait for payment with U&OB Notary Services. It's a good feeling knowing that you are not just a random notary signing agent when you work for U&OB Notary Services, they make you feel valued, appreciated and respected. A+ Company.
