Oh my gosh, who cares if the borrower gets the docs first? I like it - then they have an opportunity to discusss the terms of the terms of their loan with their LO. Saves me the trouble! Make it a positive
Why do we NEED to see their docs ahead of time? We don't. We Facilitate a process, we notarize where there is notary verbiage and enjoy the great company and get paid. Why make it hard? I don't!

P.S. I'm referring to when they take it upon themselves to overnight documents to the borrower so you have no idea what you're dealing with until the time you get to the signing table.

Sincerely yours,

From my experience, it's best not to take any overnighted document job when they claim there are only a few documents and notarizations. they do this to blind side the LSA to get the fee they prefer to pay. In my case, they claim there were docs left out of the last signing of this borrower and they need only a few docs signed for $50.

You have no idea when you go out to the borrower how many documents and notarizations there will be. Keep that in mind, I feel this is a tactic to keep the LSA fee low. If they blew it not providing all the documents before, they shouldn't shortchange us for their oversight.

Sincerely yours,

Notary's Life
