Not sure if you can do this in Washington like we can in Florida (I would think you could - seems everything is online these days) - go online and get a copy of the security instrument that was recorded that you notarized and send it to her - that's your proof that *your* loan closed.

I'm surprised - Lorrie was always good to work with - haven't worked with her for several years but I enjoyed getting her calls. We didn't always agree on the fee but when we did it was a painless experience with timely payment.

Did a signing for Lorrie in March, sent her a invoice immediateley after signing, after not receiving payment over 30+ days, I emailed her. She tried to inform me that signing was cancelled. I told her she must be confused it was not cancelled. She asked now believe this, for a copy of the documents or a copy of the shipping label. REALLY! Im going to save some ones documents for a month and a half on my computer, and a shipping confirmation for that long. She was really rude. After several emails she finally realized she made a mistake, and finally sent me my check. However, if this is how she does business, NO THANK YOU, NEVER AGAIN!

Lorrie was pleasant in the beginning. I do believe she is a nice person. I'm just saying that I sent her a reminder (2) days before the 30 days and received a somewhat of a rude message from her which I was caught off guard. The signing I did for her was very complex and I was the third notary for this assignment. I caught a mistake from the title company but was able to alert them and get it corrected (misspelled name on the Deed and Quit Claim Deed) BEFORE going to the signing. I went above and beyond and for me to have to receive a rude message when following up on payment was completely uncalled for. Then to be told a check in is in the mail, and 18 days later, still no check -- well, again, not sure I want to do business again. Going on 7 weeks since the day of signing. NOT ACCEPTABLE! Especially when you know they have already been paid by Escrow!!! Why is there a delay in paying the notary that did the actual work? Please explain?

I like Lorrie and enjoyed working with her. I had to follow up a couple times where I expected payment in 30 days and it went to 45 - as long as I know up front I'm good with that.

She did tell me at one point that one of their accounts was going to be pushing their payment out further and they might be looking at 90 days for payment - to which I replied "well, not with me you won't because that's just unacceptable"..IMO there's just no reason for us to have to wait 90 days to be paid...my limit is 45, and that's pushing it.

She has always paid though, if that's any consolation.

still waiting on payment from 5 Star Signing. Services provided on May 19, 2013. Was told a check was being mailed out on June 21. To date, no check. I have sent two e-mails and if I don't get the check by next Wednesday, I will be contacting the title company to let them know I haven't been paid. It was a difficult signing that I did. Clients were extremely comfortable with me and I am certain that 5 Star Signing got paid within a week or so from the notarization. Not sure why I wouldn't be paid at the same time they got paid. Title company even wanted to send me the check directly, but since I was hired by 5 Star Signing, I told them that they would be paying me. Anyone else have trouble collecting from 5 Star Signing?
