I got my first PayPal from an agency after I turned them down from their poor ratings on here. Even then they had a tough time giving it up I noticed in stalling tactics when they told me the money would be sent, and they also made me do fax backs they hadn't intended but I agreed to do so. They also didn't agree to pay the PayPal fee though I asked for.

My fee is prepaid to my PayPal account within 15 minutes of the call.

Service is on a "best efforts" basis, no specific schedule.

This works for me AND for "them" as I get repeats from "lowballers" who are desperate to please their client.

I received one such call today - actually 4 - they called at 1:30 and wanted me 15+ miles away at 2:00; I said I wasn't available, which I wasn't; they called 3 more times after that.

I'm thinking of putting a disclaimer in my listings that a minimum 4 hours notice is needed with docs no later than 2 hours in advance. We're so rural out here that I don't feel that's unreasonable.

Here's a tip: When new agencies call up with a 2 - 2.5 hour window on a Friday and give a poor presentation not acknowledging they've never used you before, don't take it. They're trying to catch you off guard. Good agencies don't need to find new notaries the last minute usually having established a large body of notaries they've already used. If they can't find anyone it's likely because no one wants to work for them.

Sincerely yours,
