Some insist on it. Mostly, I do same as middleVT--for the same reasons. On faxbacks, I will put the mortgage 1st/sig/last page back in order, but the rest just get piled on top & paperclipped.

If you don't value your time and experience, nobody else will.

I have received this request several times. If all the documents are all in one file, I do this as my normal business practice, for a few reasons. One is if there is a printer jam, I can refer to the PDF to make sure everything is in the right order. Two, if I mess around with the order, there is an increased risk of dropping a page on the floor and loosing it, or putting a doc in a nonsensical order, which will cause a hiccup when presenting the package to the signer. Finally, if I have a question, knowing the position of the questionable page in the stack makes it easier to find in the PDF and discuss with the signing service or title co. I know some signing agents like to show the most critical docs to the signer first, but I find these are quite often printed near the front anyway.

I have one company who always requests this. And yes, I do return them in the order they were received even if I have a few docs to fax back. I'm sure they must have some reason for the request. I've seen posts where some notaries refuse to do this. I don't think it's that much of a big deal.

Do you ever get this as a requirement? Many companies like it when you return the documents in the order you got them in?
