Nothing you can do - it's an estate and probate matter now - if she was that close to death you probably wouldn't have been able to notarize anyway PLUS the POA ceases upon death....talk about leaving things for the last minute!!

And you just watch - it's not gonna be so okay with the siblings once this gets going and the accounting of the monies and property starts.

You did right by referring them to an attorney. This is a whole different game now.

Got called to do a POA--Mother in hospital--By the time I got there, she had died. Daughter needs to change deed of home to her name and it is ok with the other 5 siblings. Found out that the father died in 2005 and deed still in both, mother and father's name.
I suggested to get a lawyer's oppinion and advise on how to do this
and I would be glad to notarize what ever the Lawyer said.
Hated to turn them off but was STUCK when daug. asked me how to get everything, ei., money, home, ect., in her name.
Please advise.
