Thanks for the info on process serving.
As for fingerprinting, I have been trying for months to get info on how to do it, I would love to get into it, but no one seems to know. I called a couple of other places in the state that do it to try and get info but I was rudely told that they don't help the competition and then hung up on. I would love information on that!

Check into fingerprinting. I do a lot of it. Takes skill and the right equipment (not too expensive). Find out how / if you need a license.

Diedra, I have no information on what it takes to be a process server in Texas, but I do know it's a job I wouldn't want to do. I have several friends who are private eyes and process servers. The tales they tell give me the creeps. The places you sometimes have to go and the people you have to deal with--Not for me!
But if you're young, fearless and have a strong stomach, perhaps it's something you may want to pursue. I understand most states have an association for process servers, or at least your local law enforcement agency may be able to direct you to what you need.
Good luck if you choose to go there.

You can do process serving, inspections, delivery, and more! You could learn to do phone work as a subcontractor and have flexible hours too.

not sure about extra work.... (as it takes additional energy and dedication) but i definitely try to use the time between appointments wisely. For example- i go grocery shopping, read a book (completed my homework assignments when i was in college) etc..... or if there is nothing to do- i just go for a walk- it helps to freshen up your brain and get some air.... Good luck!

I am searching for ideas of jobs or work I can do to fill in the gaps between my signings. My mobile notary service in rural Wisc only takes up approx. 20 hrs per week and I would like to take on another job to fill in the remainder of time, so that I would be working about 40 hrs per week. My notary territory is very large so I don't want to expand that. Any suggestions as to other jobs that dove-tail well in to mobile notary work? Thank you! Wisconsin Mobile Notary |
