I did a signing for Notaries Express back in December 2012 and still have not been paid. I wish I had checked this forum before I took a job from this company. I spoke to Steve who got irritated by the fact that I am asking for my money. He said that i never sent him my w2 alond with my commission , my bond and my e and o insurance. I just sent him all that via fax and now lets see what happens.

My recent experience with Notaries Express is good. I told them I was uncomfortable with their reputation. They agreed to my fee and paid me by Paypal. I did accept to two more closings after that. Two months later a check was sent for the closing I had already received the Paypal payment for. I returned the check with a note. They issued payment for the other two immediately.
I hope what came out of this is that I(we) will treat these companies fairly and with respect as long as they do the same in return.
A bad reputation can put a company out of business very quickly since they are relying on us. I think Notaries Express realize this because in the email I received there is a request 'Please rate your experience on Notary Rotary.'
I just wanted to say that I believe you can trust them to pay you and at least within a reasonable time.

I have worked for Notaries Express for a long time now and I do agree they are very slow to pay, BUT they do eventually pay. Yes sometimes I do have to call Maria or Steve and remind them. But I have always been paid, usually within 60 days. Fees are not an issue, I state what I will do the job for and they will agree or not. Gary Williamson - California

Happy to report that I have now (9/26/2012) been paid for two of the five signings I went to. The others I was told in an email had not closed yet, 4 weeks later. Slow...but they pay.

As an ex Mortgage Broker, I am painfully aware of the sensitive relationship between affinity partners in real estate. Josh has been excellent in his assignments as has Brian. Both were kind in answering "newbie" questions. I did screw up one meeting and incurred the wrath of Steve. While he did get upset, I was able to speak with him professionally and discover how and why the error was made and I agreed to waive my fee completely as I may have misled the borrower. I have not been paid for anything as yet as I do require net 30 days and it is too early to speak of non-payment, but I have been pleased with the number of calls and the way the schedulers handle themselves. I will keep you all posted as to the eventual outcome.

It's all so simple and efficient when you require them to make payment to your PayPal account in advance. Over the years, I am certain that the ones who refuse are offset by the non-paying duds I avoided. I only give credit to A+ rated (with BBB) firms or have VG feedback from notaries on 123 or NR.

I will not work for this co again. Esp since they wont pay for appts that didnt close for some reason. We did our job and should be paid, cancelled or not. Sorry. If the loan agents had to pay the notary if the loan didnt close , service would be different. |

This agency also doesn't pay if the loan doesn't fund and advertises it to potential clients as a selling point on their site You lose your time and materials and they gain a client.

I found them to be dishonest and yet very slick at covering up to make it appear extraneous factors contribute to slow payment. It took three months for me to be paid on two jobs and I had to do a lot of follow-up.
I researched to find they were paid within 2 weeks for my work. They lied claiming they didn't get my W9 when I had proof it was sent to them by email and fax. They then claimed they sent a check I never received. They use Bill Pay and blame it on the bank for error. It takes another month to get paid totallying 3 months.
When asked why they couldn't simply cut a check from their office, they said that's not possible. I say B.S.. I will not work for them again. They're looking for suckers.
Sincerely yours,

I just did a job for Notaries Express Signing Agency, and spoke to Steve. I was not going to take the job, do to bad posts about this co. Did take job and found Steve to be fair and I got paid in less than 2 Weeks... Their policy of not paying if a job does not fund, is not right as we have done our job, and funding is not under our control.... But I would work again for that Co Mjacobs402@aol.com
