RonANotary,
I understand where you are coming from but I have to say my experience with DocPros has been overall favorable since I've started doing business with them.
I have also experienced late payments from DocPros, however I've never had to "chase them down" for said payments, far from it actually.
The first time this has happened to me I contacted their Accountant Sophia right away. She was very apologetic and sent out the payment again that very same day. Soon afterwards I heard from a few fellow notaries that DocPros has started being late on payments. It seemed to be a recent development (they have been working with DocPros for over a year where as I have been for only a few months). That said I decided I would start sending a "friendly reminder" to Sophia about five business days prior regarding upcoming due payments. As a result I started receiving payments early. In fact I had two payments due last week. One for a signing on 8/27 and another for 8/30. I reminded Sophie the Friday prior and I received both payments on the 28th.
Should we have to remind a company to send payment? Idealy no, of course not. However, based on my experience I would consider the payment situation a slight inconvenience at the very most. Especially when compared to some of the horror stories that have posted regarding other companies. Besides that from day one DocPros has never baby sat me through a signing. Their staff is always polite and very helpful when a problem occurs.
Overall, if it wasn't for the payment situation I would easily rate them a 4.5/5. The only other negative I can think of is that I wish they offered a little more for their signings. They don't low ball by any means but they don't exactly pay top dollar either.
Perhaps we had different experiences and I was the luckier one. It happens. But I stand by DocPros and will gladly continue to provide my services to them.

DocPros Independent Contractor Agreement specifically says: DocPros shall remit payment 30 days from the completion of the signing.THEY DO NOT PAY IN 30 DAYS!!! This is evidenced by the last five signings I have completed for them. It comes after 35-45 days and only after you contact them regarding payment status. I, personnally, am fed up with DocPros and other SS's like them delaying payment to the NSA's. I have informed DocPros to remove my name from their database. Anyone accepting assignments will have to wait for their payment BUT only after having to 'CHASE IT DOWN!!" |
