Thanks for your comments Carmen.

What adds insult to injury is that I've not been getting most signing packages until the very last minute. And it's only when printing them out that I see these lengthy forms.

When I workded for a lot of signing companies (years ago). I would see alot of these (very annoying). The folks I currently work for which are title/escrow, loan officers, etc seem have taken care of this prior to the signing for the most part. I think the reason is that the companies I work for now have a lot of A paper loans and all this fluff is not neccesay or has been done when it was supposed to be done-at the start of the loan process. Where as the loans I use to do were subprime and they can get really carried away with the paperwork. :). There is really nothing you can do except if you get the doc's early you can let them know to get this stuff together beforhand or find out if they have a fax and/or printer for you to you send it to them beforehand.

Godd Luck!

Carmen

And why wouldn't this be done well before the signing, so I don't have to stare at the ceiling while the Borrower takes 15 minutes or more to wrestle with one page out of 120 <grin> ? I guess I avoid those Lenders or adjust my fees.

I've had several signing packages which contain what I can only best describe as personal data forms, which have a lot of information that supposedly needs to be filled in. This includes detailed current and history information such as employment, residences, schools attended, property information and more.

Not only is it time consuming to fill out one of these full length questionaires, it would seem they should've been filled out well before the signing appointment, perhaps even in the application phase.

If done completely and accurately, and the information is not readily at hand, these one or two pages can easily tack on a lot of time to the signing.

Is it really the expectation that these forms are filled out at the signing ?
