The absolute Quickly-est is "In Advance". You can improve your cash flow AND accept jobs from slow/no pay "duds" (in complete safety and without payment hassles) - read how on my new blog entry:
Making Deadbeat Signing Companies Pay Up Front Subtitle: Payment terms – set by the Buyer or Seller?

I did a job for The Notary Biz and it's been over 30 days. Still haven't gotten paid. Does anyone have a solution as to how I can get my money from them. Sent emails to them but no response. I did six jobs for them and haven't gotten paid for any. Did job since September 2011.. Thank you, because I want my money. I used my time and gas to to out and do these signings, arrived to the signings on time, return the documents on time. I did my part, now I want to be compensated

I'll see your "at no cost to anyone" and raise you "using my FedEx account for shipping - both ways if necessary". In addition if ANY flaw is found my TOTAL fee is forfeit.
All that I ask in return is that when the package is determined to be totally PERFECT - in EVERY detail - that my fee be wired (or paid with a credit card to my PayPal account) - the day after it is received.

quote: Okay let me be very clear. If the notary does their job correctly they will get paid within a 30 day period, whether the company get it's funds or not. Getting funds is the company's problem with the closing agent not the notaries problem. Our policy is to direct deposit the notaries funds the next day after we recieve the funds anytime before 30 days.when 30 days hits and we do not receive the funds we will deposit the funds to the notary on day 30. So the max time that it will take for you to receive funds is 30 days or sooner.
Thanks, Frank. I could easily live with that.

You really didn't answer Renee's question completely: What happens if YOU don't get paid by TC for a considerable amount of time, even tho' the loan has closed, funded, etc.?
I suppose this concerns Notaries because we've all heard that 'reason' for why, 60 days after a signing, we've not received a check.

I guess my next question would be: if you're willing to pay at 30 days, whether you're paid or not - which is a better way to treat your notaries - why not pay immediately at funding? If that's truly your philosophy, then the notary should have to wait no more than 10 days after a refi to get their check - 4-5 days if a cash or non-rescindable deal.

Well it is my policy to pay the notary when the company gets the funds from escrow direct deposit in to the notaries account same or next day. Now if the loan does not close I pay all notaries that did their jobs within 30 days of signing the customer. This is the only fair thing to do. Now I also expect that if a Notary makes a mistake that they go back out at no cost to anyone and correct their mistake fair ...

That's not an acceptable condition of payment for me, Frank. While it might imply a timely payment schedule, it has one huge hole in it. What if YOU don't receive payment within a time frame that allows for you to pay me within a specified time?

Agree with Renee - exactly when does the signing company receive payment? Is the SS paid at funding or once/twice a month from the TC? What if the loan doesn't fund and SS never receives payment?

Definitely. Most of the companies I work for pay 30 days or more. As an up and coming small business I can't tell you how appreciative I am when a company that I do a signing for pays within two weeks. |

Certainly; some companies that I deal with make direct deposits for all of their notaries.

Would Notaries like to be paid by direct deposit as soon as the signing company receives their payment from escrow??. No lag time in getting paid. Let me know ????
