I did an application signing for a reverse mortgage for them back on 1/27/14. Under the terms that I would sign the final docs too once it was processed. They said they would pay within 45 days. Followed up when I didn't get payment. And again a week later when nothing happened and all of a sudden their business dropped off the face of the earth. Phone disconnected, website deleted.
A week later I get a call from Don Van Hoosen, who had been my contact at Notary Diva. He now works for another company called Dedicated Documents. He wanted me to the final signing for the reverse mortgage and pay me for the application and signing. His email address came from a strange server and looked like it was just made to email me. No website for the current company, order template looked just like Notary Diva's and he was really trying to push me to do this in his words "to try to get me paid", and got really rude.
I think they are skipping from one company to another. I told him why I couldn't trust him and I would rather just take the loss than do business with him again. I told him not to contact me unless it was to pay me for the work I did, and if he did pay me then it would help his creditability.
Please beware of these two companies something fishy is going on, and I doubt I will get paid for the work I did back on 1/27.

The instructions do seem a bit overwhelming but these issues I believe are avoidable. If she calls, I'd encourage you to accept; it does seem intimidating but I assure you it is not. Thanks! :)

This made me want to take a look at their page. Its cute, but not sure its right for this. Then I took a look at the Loan Signing Request page and noticed this printed on the far right side: "For Notary: Acceptance of this assignment is deemed acceptance of the terms as set forth in this confirmation. Any deviation from the terms will be deemed as a breach and will result in fee reduction. Contacting our client, the loan officer, title/escrow company or the borrowers upon the return of the documents (unless requested to do so by our office), will also be deemed as a breach in the terms of our agreement and will render your signing fee as forfeited. For closings that were printed but signing was cancelled prior to notary going to location, notary will be paid a ten dollar print fee. For closings that do not sign and/or get notarized AT THE SIGNING TABLE, notary will only be paid a print & travel fee of thirty-five dollars. For closings that SIGNED but borrowers cancelled in the 3 day cancellation period, the notary will receive fifty percent of the agreed signing fee given on this confirmation. Final remittance of payment will be determined by date of final funding and our corresponding receipt of funds. We make every effort to keep this within a 30-day time frame. If you do not agree with the terms of this disclosure, you must contact our office immediately (prior to printing of documents) and notify the scheduler who assigned the file to you. Failure to properly notify our office of your refusal for this assignment could result in potential litigation for damages. Our online invoice (located on our website effective 6/1/2011) and W9 MUST be submitted to generate payment for this assignment. Thank you!! The Diva Staff"
Makes it sound like it's a hassle to work for them.

Hi Wayne,
There is a new person (Jessica) to work with. Even though you might pass because of the website, Jessica is very nice to work with. There was another person who incited negative reviews but Jessica has since replaced her. I hope if she calls, you'll be willing to accept. Thanks! :)

I have accepted three signings from The Notary Diva. Each time I have worked with Jessica, I have enjoyed it. Jessica is easy-going, flexible and a great communicator.
The website is cute (a little diva with a crown on her head). Invoicing for services is quite simple; I did not have to worry about creating my own. Payment time frame is clearly written on the site but if questions arise, Jessica happily answers them and tries to get payment issued as soon as possible (average time is 25-30 days).
The first loan that I accepted I made a mistake. Jessica did not get mad at me or make me feel worse than I already did; she merely forwarded the document to show me my error so that I would not repeat it (I haven't, either!). Despite the error, she was willing to continue working with me and I am very thankful for that. The two other signings were very straightforward with zero problems occurring.
Overall, The Notary Diva is a wonderful company to work with and should you receive a call from them, I believe you would enjoy working with them (Jessica) too!
