In the California code:
http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/displaycode?section=civ&group=01001-02000&file=1180-1207

1189 (b) Any certificate of acknowledgment taken in another place shall be sufficient in this state if it is taken in accordance with the laws of the place where the acknowledgment is made.

A New York Acknowledgement does not require the words "Notary Public" on the Acknowledgement. Thus, if a NY Ack is used, it should be OK without that wording.

Also the Perjury clause is not a NY requirement.

I looked all through section 1189 of the California code (about notaries) and couldn't find anywhere that it said acks MUST contain the title of the officer.

It seems redundant to me since our seal says we are a notary. Also, why would acks require it, but not a jurat?

In California acknowledgements must contain the name and the title of the officer/notary taking the acknowledgment. If the document will be recorded, recorder officer will look very closely and the document could be rejected if it didn’t contain the title “Notary Public” after notary’s name.

It's a magical device incorporating the ability to warp the time/space continuum. Often used to ensure that something that should've been written but does not appear visible, becomes both written and visible.

What does "quickpen" it mean? It does need to be recorded.

Honest answer: If it's a form not normally recorded, they may overlook your lapse. If it is to be recorded, they may request that you re-do correctly or they may 'quickpen' it. You'll find out soon enough.

I forgot to fill in Notary Public after my name on an Acknowledgment
Could the document get rejected?
