This company used to be amazing, they paid well and quick and the communication was excellent.
However, that has, unfortunately changed. They sent me out on a signing and told me it was a standard refi......I walked in the door to SIX signers....my confirmation paperwork only listed two signers.
When I asked for them to adjust my fee due to their being SIX signers, which obviously meant significantly more signatures and time on my part the answer was a resounding no.
I took one more deal after that one with them, as they had been great before and wanted to give them one more chance.
I went to the signing and there was an error on the docs. Called Avenue 365 and reset the appointment for the next evening, when the corrected docs would be available. Next day, when I receive docs and print them out.
I then call with a brief question just to be told that this file was never assigned to me and why was I working on it. I assured them that it had been assigned to me. Was again told that it had not been, that Avenue 365 never, ever makes future appointments on the phone with the notary while they are at the table, I assured them that they indeed had. I asked them why in the world they would have sent me the docs if I had not been assigned the signing.
The person I had originally started dealing with on this issue sent me an email with many people cc'd on it, when I responded with my email, showing them the docs they had sent to me, the owner reached out and got on my case for sending the email to anyone but her......like I am supposed to pull it of thin air that the response is not for all cc'd in the email. Then the owner said they would no longer use me at all......no reason given. That was 10 months ago. |

This is to me a top notch company. They paid within 2 weeks. No hand holding. One page faxback. They even offered me $50 for a canceled job when I did nothing but contact the borrower. No docs were printed. They said that they new I utitlized my time for them and might have had to decline another job because of this and it was the lenders fault not theirs. To me this is very rare. I declined the $50 so instead they added $25 to the rescheduling. To me this is a company that respects what we do. |

Fees were significantly higher and they have never taken a setoff or reduction on the occasion of corrections being necessary.

To all of you who said they were good: What was the fee? At least, did you receive more than the (really low) fees listed in Copperhead/VA's post?

They have sent me their signup package, but I declined to complete it because the fees they offer are extremely low:
o/n docs closing - $55 email docs closing - $70 piggyback loan - $25 (too low and are we supposed to print for free?) resign docs (not signing agent error) - $25 for less than 50 pages / $50 for more than 50 pages
And then there are the fee reductions:
no confirmation call to borrower within 4 hours - $10 no completion call by 9 am next day - $15 no pkg tracking information provided - $10 arrive late to appointment - $25 changing appt time (unless it's a borrower request) - $10 faxbacks if faxed more than one hour after appt - $15
These fees are totally unacceptable to me (not even close to what I charge and receive on a regular basis). I doubt I would incur any fee reductions, but I don't like the list. I am rarely late to an appointment but sometimes due to a traffic accident on the freeway or whatnot, you cannot help being late to an appointment despite your best efforts. $25 deduction for being how late? Five minutes late = $25 fee deduction?

I've done several signings for this company and they've been wonderful to deal with. If every signing company I've ever done business with were to deal with me as this company has thus far, I'd have very little to complain about.
