Your information for Florida states:
quote:
Dual State Notary Commission Information
If you are a Georgia notary residing in Georgia, or an Alabama notary residing
in Alabama, please ask the Florida notary division if you may apply for a
Florida notary commission.

This is incorrect. According the Florida Governor's Reference Manual for Notaries (2001, pg 6)
quote:
You must be a legal resident of Florida. There is no certain length of time required to
establish residency. However, if the Governor’s Office requires proof of residency, the
following methods, along with the applicant’s intent to reside in Florida, would be
acceptable: a Florida driver’s license; a Florida vehicle registration document; a voter’s
registration card; or a recorded Declaration of Domicile.

I am not an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Florida,
and I may not give legal advice or accept fees for legal advice.

I find the list provided on the 123notary site confusing. Are the fees per person, per signature, or per certificate (bearing in mind that more than one name might be included in one certificate).

I also don't understand what "Non-Certified Copies" are.

Finally, I don't understand the Vermont rule which is 50 cents per certificate under seal, despite the fact that Vermont notaries don't have to use a seal. (There is something about protests, but I don't expect to ever do one so I don't care about those). Since I don't understand the Vermont rules, I also can't understand how 123notary came up with the fees in its Vermont listing.

Each state has different fees for notary work. 123notary keeps track of each state's fees on our state pages. Just visit
http://www.123notary.com/find-a-notary-public.asp and click on the name of your state.

Mobile fees. Not all states allow travel fees, and some states restrict the amount that a notary can charge for travel fees. Unfortunately, this really stifles the mobile notary business and is not good for the notary, or potential clients who can not make it to a notary. This information is also available on our state pages.
