Is there anyone out there that knows about HP printers and the second tray to use for legal? I just purchased a printer, P2055DN. Bought a second tray for the letter/legal pdf documents we receive. I cannot get it to choose the size paper to print. I can make it print from each tray, but won't choose the right size when I give it letter/legal sheets together. Several people said...oh yes, this printer with extra tray will do that. Now I had one person say...oh no, this printer with extra tray will not do that. I am getting so frustrated,..... can someone tell me if it can do what I have ask? AND if so, what settings am I missing.
THANKS!!jae

I actually did find a second tray online (not from HP) for about $80.

Haven't ordered one yet as I was unsure of the whole thing. Maybe I will call HP to see what they have.
Good to know that it's not hard to install.....less cussing in the house by DH. lol
Thanks for the info!

I have a 1320 as well. Give HP a call you may be able to add a second tray. My model number is 1320TN and it came with a dual tray. I also have a HP 3390 which came with one tray only. A year later I called and they had a second tray available and it was so easy to install. You will love having the dual tray, I promise!

Thank you. I have an HP1320 that has pcl6 on it...but only a single tray and for some reason I can't get the paper to feed through the manual slot, grrrrr. I'll play around with it when I have more time.

PCL5e should work okay. However, I do recommend obtaining the latest PCL6 driver and the PS driver. You should be able to obtain these drivers from the manufacturer's web site.

Just found a dual tray - I am NOT fighting a single tray anymore, lol.

But it has PCL5e as the print language...will that work?

Thanks for your expertise and help.
