I agree that 123notary.com is the place to advertise on (DUH). but I get a lot of "public notary work" from www.gogetnotary.com. Also it is a great place find out a ton of information about the notary loan signing industry!
Also check out the message boards at www.notaryclasses.com and wwww.mwna.com as these 2 also are great places to advertise on and their message boards are first rate!

123notary and NotaryRotary have been the best marketing investments I've made. When I was first starting out I was only signed up with the NNA, erroneously thinking they were the end-all/be-all of getting work. I couldn't have been more wrong. I've gotten more calls through 123Notary than all my years with them. NotaryRotary membership is fairly new but I've already gotten a fair amount of calls through them as well.
I agree with Tim about the Signing Registry -- although I've received no work from membership with them they have proven to be a wealth of expertise, invaluable in fact, through their members and forum. Kathy Poston, the SR owner, was so helpful when I started in this business even before she started the Registry.

The Signing Registry is not designed to be a place where you get work. It is designed as a membership site where NSAs can let down their hair and say what they really think, without worrying about the TCs or the SSs seeing their posts. This is because the TCs and the SSs can not join TSR -- only experienced NSAs are allowed to join.
It is the only site on the web that I trust 100% on the posted opinions concerning the companies, because I know that no one there is trying to kiss up to the TCs or the SSs out of fear of losing work.
Also, they require a certain level of experience to join, so that screens out the newbies who are not mature enough yet in the way this business operates to avoid so many of the mistakes that newbies are prone to.
Finally, the Signing Registry has one of the best books in the industry on how to do this business. In short, TSR is about professional NSAs helping one another, not just another listing site that also happens to have a forum.
And, I get business from 123notary, notaryrotary, my website (http://notarymemphis.com), free listings everywhere I can find to post them, etc -- so I think the world of all those sites.
I dropped my signingagent.com listing because it does mostly generate SS calls and I prefer to work mostly for TCs these days; also, I am really annoyed with the NNA over this background check nonsense and over them acting like they are the voice of the Notary (they sell things to us - how does that make them our voice?). I dropped my link to 50state when I saw that she was no longer listing notaries unless we paid and I have always had problems with some of her published materials (esp. since she stopped being an NSA years ago to focus on her writing and marketing).

The companies I get most of my business through are: www.signingagent.com www.123notary.com www.notaryrotary.com AND my own website... www.mobilesigningagent.com
I market my website to companies by sending out Louisiana referral lists with signed loan documents... including it in my e-mail signature... listing it with notary directories... submitting it to free search engines... submitting to free reciprocal links, etc.
My experience with signingagent.com is that most of my calls are from signing services, offering very low fees. It appears as well that some of them are new signing services I've never even heard of. The only reason I continue to list with signingagent.com is because I know that alot of companies do go to them to find notaries and I have gotten a few good leads... (basically, though I'm having to kiss alot of frogs to find the prince with them).
As for 123notary and notaryrotary... these two companies are by far the best sources for business. I have found that I get more title company calls from these sources. Personally, I think the reason for this is that more and more "good" companies are being referred to these directories by the notaries themselves. With 123notary and notaryrotary, I don't have to kiss alot of frogs to find the prince!
I'm also signed up with GoMobileNotary... but I can't ever remember getting a referral through them.
I discontinued my listings with the following directories, because I never received any business and considered them a waste of money...

I do not use any site other than 123notary. I am totally against the NNA and other establishments as such, and will never seek a membership to any of them. Other than the hundreds of companies I am already signed up with, I get an ample enough amount of work from 123notary and am completely satisfied with that. I use no other forum than 123notary as well.

I never received any phone calls from my NNA listing when I had it. It is most likely due to the fact that there is a millon notaries in Callie. I have always received my work form 123notary.com @90% and notaryrotary.com @10%. I have a listing with gogetnotary.com I love them over there but unfortunately I have never received any work from my listing on that particular site.

I love my listing with www.GoGetNotary.com. It's a mini-webpage with the opportunity for a memeber to post their professional photograph and testimonials from clients or contemporaries. Most of the calls I receive from GoGet are direct lender reps and busy Loan Originators.

I reorganized the forum tonight. It was lots of work and I hope that it is easier and more pleasant to use after the changes. Please let us know your experience with ANY notary web site. Thanks. |

Tips for using the forum
The most important feature on the forum is the search box. You can look up a particular word, phrase, name of a company, and see a potentially large list of search results with which you can obtain data. Filters are also valuable. If you want to find popular posts, you can use the number of views filter. You can also see whats new with the active topics link. Email us at info@123notary.com if you need any help using the notary forum.
Resources
The notary public resource page is valuable as it has links to all of the free information pages for notaries. Pages linked to the resource page include a page that teaches you everything you need to know to get the most out of your listing. Another page teaches you all the secrets of getting paid. There is a link to our free list of signing companies. There is also a glossary, learning tools, and much more.
If you are a notary, the free tips we give are invaluable.
Popular pages
If you visit 123notary.com often, you might want to visit some of our most popular pages such as the California notary, Texas notary, Florida notary, and New York notary pages to browse the site. We also have valuable pages for notaries such as the free list of signing companies, and the resource page. Please also visit our get notarized and notarized letter page.
