I started a thread under Marketing & Technical Issues on this same topic several months ago. I've been on Twitter for several months now and am learning more and more how important it is and how it works. In fact, I learn something new everyday.

Up until recently when someone started to "follow" me I didn't do much in the way of greeting them. Now I know the proper protocol. When you're notified by Twitter that a person is following you (and it is someone you want to follow you), the appropriate response is a direct message thanking him/her "for the follow," and then telling them about the services you offer. It's similar to 15 second elevator sales pitch.

My Twitter account is now looking a lot like a separate email inbox. It contains multiple tweets from business professionals offering tips, information, links to articles, etc. A few are personal but not too personal.

I mentioned this in a different post but I think it is worth repeating. If you are interested in Tweeting, you should recognize that it requires your time, attention and creativity. I believe there are programs out there that you can purchase that will help you craft interesting tweets related to your business. But as a small business owner, I believe it's best for me do this myself - at least for awhile.

Happy Tweeting.

Tips for using the forum
The most important feature on the forum is the search box. You can look up a particular word, phrase, name of a company, and see a potentially large list of search results with which you can obtain data. Filters are also valuable. If you want to find popular posts, you can use the number of views filter. You can also see whats new with the active topics link. Email us at info@123notary.com if you need any help using the notary forum.

Resources
The notary public resource page is valuable as it has links to all of the free information pages for notaries. Pages linked to the resource page include a page that teaches you everything you need to know to get the most out of your listing. Another page teaches you all the secrets of getting paid. There is a link to our free list of signing companies. There is also a glossary, learning tools, and much more. If you are a notary, the free tips we give are invaluable.

Popular pages
