Yes First American is fast on payment but cheap on fees! They always try to have you work for less...Ask them for a bump...I also absolutely HATE their 2.7 minute hold to report a closing and when I hear that "FASS Number" request in their mesages I scream in my car! They repeat and repeat and repeat. Then they make you take these webinars which are in the day and I lose business because of this and it's not even worth the webinar..the girl mispronounces the words...she reads it word for word while I can do that myself later in the evening when I'm home and not trying to make a living in the field..then take a ridiculous test that is available the "next day". Just ridiculous for such a major signing coming.

How do you rate First American's pay?
I was contacted by them and they want me to sign a contract but they only pay $50 plus $25 for edoc delivery.
Aren't we better off not signing a contract and wait for their call so we can negotiate to our price?
I'm feeling hesitant to sign a contract with these companies for this reason, but I do want business.. just not low ball fees.

That is why I like working for First American: they pay fast. I do most of my signings for First American and have not had too many problems. Although depending on which lender the signing is for, the docs can come a little too close for the time and I worry about being late. Their packages range from 70-120 pages and are pretty straight forward. But yes, they do pay within 7-14 days. If only all companies were like them!

On 10/19/2009 I performed a signing for them. I sent the docs out the next day ( 10/20). The payment envelope addressed to me was postmarked 10/23/2009 ( a Friday) I received the payment 10/26/2009. WOW
This is my record for all time fastest payment!
